Conditions of use of the website

In order to facilitate its use, IDOCYOU.COM has established a new version of its general conditions of use. They have been simplified and will allow you to notice that we give and will continue to give great importance to the community aspect of the site, while being respectful of the rights of everyone. Read them carefully and do not hesitate to contact  if you have any question.

The present general conditions (« CGU »), submitted to French law, rule the conditions of use of the IDOCYOU.COM website edited by the IDOCYOU.COM company (legal mentions). Your registration to the site according to the conditions mentioned further below means your immediate acceptance without reservations by the CGU. Any modification of the CGU will be specifically mentioned on the website.

1 Presentation of the website

IDOCYOU.COM is an innovative and original free hosting website containing courses and training documents allowing the user, under the condition of his prior registration, to download, store, share and comment the documents available. The space of storage allocated by field or by course is unlimited (if not, it will be notified on the homepage of the website for three consecutive days). The size of each document is limited to 20 Mo to control the costs. Since the website was not conceived to save files, you will have to take the necessary measures to do so. Finally, in accordance with internet practices, some publicity can be  added to the website.

2 Your intellectual property 

IDOCYOU.COM acquires no copyright on your contents. As soon as you make them available for the users, you accept that they may, free of charge and for a strictly personal use, consult your contents on the website or from the website, by other means of electronic communications (for instance cellular phones) for the entire duration of the hosting of your contents on the website, and download/watch your contents by other means for the maximum duration of the protection of their rights. If you wish to exploit the contents of another user, for instance for commercial purposes, you have to obtain beforehand the necessary authorizations from him/her. We ask anyone noticing documents whose rights are theirs circulating without his/her approval to inform us by sending an e-mail to the address yyyyyyyyyy or by detailed mail to our service Contenus abusifs, IDOCYOU.COM, address, mentioning the date, your identity, the title of the document, the URL address of the litigious document, its description and the user name of its author and the proof that you own the copyrights. Following its reception, IDOCYOU.COM, if there is a breach of the rules previously mentioned, the content concerned will be immediately removed from the website. Moreover, for the duration of the hosting of your content and in the strict framework that allows the accessibility of the website via the internet or other means of electronic communications, you will authorize us to reproduce/represent your content and, if needed, adapt its format. Given the inner characteristics of the internet, you are also informed that the data provided, including your content, is not protected against the risks of hacking and/or piracy, and if it were to happen we could not be held responsible. In such a case, you would have to take all the appropriate measures in order to protect this data.

3 Our intellectual property

The goal of our website is to allow users to share courses and training documents in order to spread knowledge to everyone; nonetheless, the website is our exclusive property. We give you a free, personal, non exclusive and non transferable right to have access and to use the site, any other right is completely excluded without our prior written agreement.

4 Our responsibility as a hosting website

We are under no general legal obligation to check the content transmitted or stored via the website. Our only obligations as a hosting site concern the fight against specific content according to the procedure described in the “Abusive Content” section, the conservation of your connection data, protected by professional secrecy and processed under the legal obligations concerning personal data, and the removal of any content obviously unlawful, as soon as we discover it.

5 Your responsibility as a user

As a provider of content to the website, whether it is documents or comments, you are to abide by the rules and the legal obligations that are in place. It is therefore your duty to make sure that the storage and the circulation of this content via the website does not constitute a violation of intellectual property rights (for instance science articles, books, or any other documents that you have not produced nor conceived or for which you don’t have the necessary authorizations from the owners of the copyrights), an attack on people (for instance defamation, insults, etc.), an invasion of privacy, a breach of order and proprieties (for instance apology of crimes against humanity, incitement to racial hatred, child pornography, etc.). In case of violation of these rules, the content will be removed in the conditions mentioned in the fourth paragraph and/or your account immediately disactivated. Moreover, you could be personally liable to penal sanctions specific to the litigious content, prison sentences and a fine, in addition to being sentenced to pay damages. Given the community aspect of the website, and in order to respect everyone’s sensitivity, the user has to keep an ethical conduct when he sends documents and/or comments on line; for instance he must restrain from sending any violent or pornographic content. If it were necessary, the main menu features a link “signalement” allowing other users to report any abuse.

6 Registration and access  

In order to take advantage of the website’s functionalities, you must create an account by filling in an application form on line. You will remain free to modify at any moment the personal data communicated on this document. As soon as your application is validated, you will receive an e-mail inviting you to click on a link to confirm your registration. The access to your account will only be made possible by writing your user name and your password, therefore you will have to keep it confidential. The use of the website following your registration is valid for an unlimited duration. We always keep the possibility of ending it at any moment, by e-mail, after a reasonable period of notice. If you were to transgress the obligations inherent to your responsibility mentioned earlier, the access to your personal space can be immediately and without any notice temporarily or definitively suspended by means of the disactivation of your account, without modifying our other rights.

7 Availability of the website

The website is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except in case of interruption, programmed or not, due to maintenance or a case of absolute necessity. As our means are limited, we cannot be held responsible for any damage, whatever their nature, resulting from the unavailability of the website. 

8 Proof, conservation and filing

The registers that are kept in our systems in accordance with the necessary security measures will be considered a proof of e-mail communications, of the sending of application forms, of the downloading of documents and of the posting of comments. Application forms are filed on a support that ensures the fidelity and durability required by the current legal obligations. In case of a difference between our registers and the documents on paper or electronic format that you own, our registers will prevail.
